Hatchet Hurl is a basic Virtual reality prototype developed for Oculus in Unity. The prototype was my first experience with development in VR and utilised Spatial audio and Immersive environment features.
Hatchet Hurl was developed for a University class where I learnt the basics of VR development singly prior to working on another VR prototype within a group.
This prototype was developed with a low poly forest environment that utilised Heads up display elements to provide the player with necessary information.
Gameplay for this prototype was a simple mechanic where the player would attempt to throw axe's at floating targets. The player would grab an axe from either their left or right hip area and throw it at the target. If struck their score would increase and a new target would spawn with a bell sound effect notifying the player of its position.
